While at Amgen working as a Medical Analyst in the Medical Information department, I observed Susan’s work ethic to be of the highest caliber. Susan is a proficient writer and an efficient and thorough reviewer. While at Amgen, Susan was always extremely generous with her time and assistance. Susan was often asked to review and correct writing projects completed by other analysts because her writing and analytical skills were trusted, reliable, and accurate. Susan was generally available to accept additional work outside of her normal schedule and always had a pleasant and professional attitude. I truly enjoyed working with her and hope to some day work with her again.

Susan Sheu has a sharp eye as both reader and writer in her editorial work.  Her medical and public health backgrounds, combined with her literary aplomb, makes for the perfect combination for a successful editor.  Susan has a remarkable facility in knowing perspectives of both the author and the audience, so that the voice of the written product is how it should be said and how it should be heard.

About My Writing

I’ve worked with many hundreds of writers over the years, and from the moment I read her first story, I knew Susan Sheu was the real deal. Susan is a talented, intelligent, compassionate and insightful woman with powerful story telling chops.

Susan Sheu writes in a way that draws the reader in as few others can do.  Her candor on such personal issues makes one feel somehow ‘safe’ and ‘at home’ when reading her work.  But perhaps ‘work’ is not the correct word.  While work indeed it is, the fluidity of her writing, her ability to unfold a story, and her natural way of  bringing the reader in close, makes such work feel effortless.
